Carolyn Luscombe was honored to receive George Brown College's "Award for Teaching Excellence" in the Hospitality Division.
She also learned that her Alumni of Distinction Award has earned her a nomination for the Ontario Premier's Award. The award ceremony will be held in February 2008 in London, Ontario.

The gala was held in Montreal on August 18, 2007. The purpose of the ISES Esprit Awards, an international awards program, is to recognize outstanding worldwide achievements in special events, meeting management, conference planning and exhibition management on an international level.

Alumni of Distinction Received by EEI PresidentThursday, June 28, 2007Five alumni recognized for outstanding career achievements and community contributions.
OSHAWA, Ont. - Along with celebrating the graduation of 1,400 students, Durham College announced that five of its alumni are being honored for excellence in their careers as well as their outstanding contributions to their communities.
Among those honored at the ceremony was event industry leader, Carolyn Luscombe, CSEM, CSEP, CMP along with four other recipients. All were being recognized with 2007 Alumnus of Distinction Awards at the college's annual spring convocation ceremonies held June 22, 2007 at the General Motors Centre in Oshawa, Ontario.
Their accomplishments are prime examples of how graduates of Durham College go on to spectacular career success and take on community leadership roles that help our country grow and prosper.
The Alumnus of Distinction Awards recognize graduates who have excelled in their careers and contributed to the development of the college and/or their communities. More than 50 alumni have received the honor since the awards launched in 1990.

Esprit Nominations AnnouncedThursday, June 28, 2007The team at Eclectic Events International are thrilled to announce that they have been nominated for three prestigious awards at the 2007 ISES ESPRIT AWARDS in the following categories of:
Best ISES Team Effort, Budget Over $100,000 USD
Best Meeting/Conference Program, Budget $75,000 - $200,000 USD
Best Entertainment Production Under $30,000 USD
The gala is being held in Montreal on August 18, 2007. The winners will be announced that evening at the ceremony.
The purpose of the ISES Esprit Awards, an international awards program, is to recognize outstanding worldwide achievements in special events, meeting management, conference planning and exhibition management on an international level.
The program is open to any member that has produced an event or qualifying element of an event within the eligibility period. The entries go through a qualification, a nominee judging process and a second judging process of the nominees to determine the winners. There is anywhere from 2-6 nominees per category announced.
